La Grange Etable is situated in the hamlet of La Courarie
just off the D675 between Nontron and St Mathieu. The village
of St Barthelemy De Bussiere is within walking distance,
where you will find an excellent restaurant/bar and Post
Office.
The nearest town of Piegut is 6kms away and hosts a superb Wednesday morning market where you can taste and purchase fresh local produce. There are two supermarkets, restaurants and bars, bakers, pharmacy and bank. The attractive town of Nontron is a 15 minute drive away and provides all of the above on a larger scale.
The hamlet is situated in the Northern tip of the Dordogne close to the borders of Haute Vienne and Charente. Perigueux with its beautiful Basilica and charming narrow streets, Limoges, famous for its porcelain manufacturing, and Angouleme, an old ramparted city are all within easy reach.
